What goals can an Early Intervention OT support?
An Early Intervention OT looks at the key developmental milestones and targets the approach through providing support for:
Gross motor skill development (coordination, strength, balance)
Fine motor skill development (coordination, dexterity, grasp, strength)
Emotional regulation

Sensory processing
Where do Early Intervention OT sessions happen?
While you can visit us at our clinic, Early Intervention OT’s usually work best in “natural environments”, meaning wherever your child usually completes the activities or skills is the best place for sessions. This includes:
At our clinic
At your home
At your early learning centre, kindergarten or school
Early Intervention OT’s can also work via telehealth to provide support to parents, carers, and other people involved in a child’s team.
